Today we had practice at 7:30 which I like a lot more than 2:30. Coach told us we could go wherever we wanted today and for only 30 minutes so it was pretty nice. Jared, Brian, Matt and I decided to head towards Timp on Tanner's trail and we almost made it to the legend Zac Slater's house. I miss that guy. He was one great friend but he's killing it in Portugal so as Connor would say, we gucci. We started out above 7 becuase we were all kind of tired from Saturday. The last mile was our fastest and with about 600 left Jared and I just both took off to try and beat each other but finished at the same time. Coach had us play frisbee after and I got 1.7 barefoot miles. My team wrecked mainly because Brian scored like 27 times and Harambe had some good catches and I had some lock down defense, not really but ya know just gotta hype myself up a bit. Shoutout to Jared for trying to beat us. Donuts and chocolate milk after which I might have spilled all over the counter haha. Good time up the canyon Saturday so shoutout to Gan for the invite.

2.9 in the am.

Practice started late as usual and then coached talked to the guys team so I didn't run much because I have physical therapy. Just 3. Didn't really drink yesterday or today so that's a problem. Going to try to drink a lot tonight.

Shoutout to me for possibly needing a cortisone shot for my back.

AM- 3 miles. Had a discussion on how many pull ups Ali can do. He says 15 in a row but no one believed him.

PM- Mile warmup then 1200, 1000, 800, 400 with the same distance as recovery besides the 400. The 400 I decided to do barefoot and I also did the mile after barefoot.

AM- 2.7 miles. Ali had another very random quote, more random than, "I've never been with a big girl before." Not sure where he comes up with all the things he says but it's very entertaining!

PM- 5 miles at a decent pace with 8 other guys. We played a game where Ali would imitate different peoples running forms and we would have to guess whose it was. It was pretty fun. Barefoot strides after then stretching and varsity talked about how we want to train distance rather than minutes from now on. Reed taped me so shoutout to him. Good luck to everyone who is racing tomorrow!

AM- Classic 3.05 to Lindon Park. Matt, Jared and I took it a little faster on the way back.

PM- Planned on running with the girls so we followed them then were with Skye and Haley and all the other girls went some other way. Jared, Riley, Matt and I only did 3.05 but most of the guys did 4 or 5. They're such overachievers. Had a good face time with some of the Lone Peak XC at lunch today and then enjoyed texting Justin. Un shoutout to Josh for not taking the chance to earn $3. Bush league. Soldier Hollow tomorrow should be tough but fun. I'm going to try to go top 20 so we'll see how it goes.

Very strict bus driver today. He caught me standing up but didn't notice when I laid down on the floor so that was good. Jared gave me an apple and banana because we're out so shoutout to him. Got to Soldier Hollow and walked some of the course but then Jared and I got bored and stopped. Chilled for a while and decided to race in my Mach 15s. 1.15 mile warmup, stretched, drained legs and did strides before the race. I started quick but it was super hilly so the first mile was 5:50 ish and the second was like 6:05 and the last around 5:40. The hills were very tough and I think it was the toughest race I've had but I was able to finish in the top 20 and get a sick medal that is pure gold. Throughout the race I stayed around 17-20 place. Both PG teams got 4th. I'm happy with how the race turned out but if I could do it again I would go harder because the last .4 or .5 required no effort since it was all downhill. Mile cooldown after and stretching as well as some quality pictures with the team.
