Got to AF kind of early and did a lap with Matt, Brian, Ali and Luke. Got our stickers then did a mile on the streets with the guys. It was a little cold but really my hands were the only thing bothering me so I raced with gloves. I don't like how the AF course starts so crowded so I just took off and was near the front which was exciting. Usually Riley passes me after about 1.5-2 miles so this race I decided to lead as long as I could. He caught up to me after about 2.25 and I hung on to him. With about 600 to go I started picking it up because I knew Riley has a strong kick. Riley outkicked me probably in the last 40 meters and beat me by a second. 25th overall and 16:57. Tough race. Mile cooldown then went to McDonald's with some of the team.
